Privacy Policy for ScrapDataPro Google Email Finder Chrome Extension
Last Updated: October 8, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how ScrapDataPro ("us", "we", or "our") handles information for the **Google Email Finder Chrome Extension** (the "Extension"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect and how it's used.
By using the Extension, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Data Processed by the Extension (Local and Non-Collected Data)
The core function of the Google Email Finder is to process data **locally** within your Chrome browser. We emphasize that **ScrapDataPro does not collect, store, or transmit this data** to our servers or any third-party servers, with the exception of license validation as described below.
- Input Data: The Extension allows you to upload a **CSV file** containing search queries (keywords, advanced dorks, etc.) to initiate the email extraction process from Google Search. This CSV data is processed entirely on your local machine and is not sent to ScrapDataPro.
- Extracted Data: The Extension is designed to automatically visit Google Search Result pages, execute the queries from your CSV, and extract publicly visible information, specifically **email addresses**, the **source URL**, and the **query used**. This extracted data is temporarily stored in your browser's local storage until you export it.
- Data Export: When you choose to export your results in **CSV, JSON, or XLSX** format, the file is generated and saved directly to your local device. The data never passes through our servers.
In summary: We do not have access to, nor do we collect, any of the email addresses, search queries, or extracted data generated by your use of the Extension.
2. Data We Collect (License and Website Interaction)
We only collect data necessary for the operation, maintenance, and monetization of the Extension. This data is **not** the scraped content.
- License Validation Data:
- To verify your subscription, the Extension transmits your **license key** and a minimal identifying browser ID to our licensing server (managed by **Lemon Squeezy**).
- We log the date and time of license checks to prevent abuse and manage service access.
- Website Usage Data (Analytics):
- When you visit our main website (scrapdatapro.com) or the Extension's landing page, we may use standard analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). These tools collect non-personally identifiable information such as your **IP address (anonymized)**, browser type, operating system, and pages visited, to help us understand user behavior and improve the service.
3. Third-Party Services
We utilize the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies governing the information they handle:
- Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record and Licensing):
- Lemon Squeezy handles all payment processing, subscription management, and license key generation.
- They collect personal and financial information (e.g., name, email, payment details) when you purchase the Extension. ScrapDataPro **does not** store this sensitive payment data.
- Refer to the Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy for details on their data handling practices.
- Google Chrome Web Store:
- Your installation and basic usage statistics are subject to the policies of the Chrome Web Store.
4. Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us. Since the vast majority of operational data (scraped emails, queries) remains on your local machine, the security risk related to server-side breaches is minimal. For the data we do collect (license and usage data), we use commercially acceptable means to protect it, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Compliance with Laws (GDPR, CCPA)
The Extension primarily processes data on your local machine, meaning you, the user, are responsible for ensuring that your search queries and the use of the extracted email data comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws, including but not limited to the **General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)** and the **California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)**.
By using the Extension, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to be bound by it. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not install or use the Google Email Finder Chrome Extension.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
